Abstract

The study expands attachment models for psychotherapy by examining therapeutic disclosure, viewed as exploratory behavior supported by the attachment figure. Recorded sessions were analyzed for characteristics and patterns of therapeutic exploration (depth, emotional involvement, spontaneity, and inhibition) and related to clinical and alliance variables.
