Assessing the Impact of a Youth-Led LGBT Cultural Competency Training on K-12 Educators: Outcomes, Implications and Future Directions

Abstract

335 K-12 teachers participated in a youth-led LGBT cultural competency training. A repeated measures ANOVA was calculated with sex, school level, and age group as between-subjects factors. Pre- and post-training scores were repeated measures. Results indicated elementary and younger teachers’ feelings of efficacy increased compared to secondary and older educators.
