Abstract
We asked whether 22-month-olds expect fair agents to also be trustworthy. We used eye-tracking to capture infants’ active and passive expectations of the actors’ behaviors. Findings revealed that infants notice inconsistencies in prosocial behavior, and infants’ attention to inconsistencies may be enhanced by the presence of siblings.
