The Positive Relationship between Maternal Transformational Leadership and Prototypical Implicit Followership Theories.

This survey research found that experiencing maternal transformational leadership in adolescence was associated with positive beliefs about followership in young adulthood. Although a leader in the family hierarchy, we argue that mothers role model followership for their children because of the association between the female gender-role and support roles.
