Abstract

The current study evaluated the mediating effects of perceived stress on the predictive relationships between subjective indicators of status, specifically subjective social status and perceived scarcity, and various self-reported health outcomes. Results partially supported the proposed models, and provided initial support for perceived scarcity as a significant predictor of health.
