Abstract

Right- versus left-handers are more authoritarian versus cognitively flexible, respectively. We compared voting patterns from the 2016 GOP primary to left-handedness rates in the 48 continental states. As the number of left-handers increased, so did Donald Trump’s vote-getting. Conversely, states with the fewest left-handers went most strongly for Ted Cruz
