Abstract

This study investigated whether individual differences in emotion regulation style differentially explain emotion regulation success in older versus young adults. The findings are consistent with the SOC-ER model (Urry & Gross, 2010), suggesting that age differences in emotion regulation may be due to age differences in available resources.
