Gesture’s Role in Conveying Body Image

Body image and dissatisfaction is an issue in western countries. Studies rely on verbal self-reports that may not fully capture one's body image. However, hand gestures can convey additional information. This study proposes that gestures will convey substantive information about body image and may convey more information than speech alone.
