Abstract

Most people want to change their big five traits--and these desires predict corresponding trait growth. In the present studies, we examined whether similar processes unfold for adult attachment styles. Results indicated that most people want to become less anxious and avoidant. Moreover, these desires predict corresponding growth across time.
