Abstract

Attitudes toward police were assessed after participants played a violent, antipolice videogame (Grand Theft Auto 5, GTA5) or Tetris. All had generally positive attitudes, however Tetris players had significantly more positive attitudes than GTA5 players. Past experience with GTA5 did not correlate with attitudes, suggesting that the effect is temporary.
