Abstract
Participants (N = 130) were randomly assigned to write about a relationship conflict from a communal or non-communal perspective. Essays were coded for resolution efforts, source, and conflict resolution. Participants in the communal condition were more likely to report conflict resolution than participants in other conditions (p < .05).
