Abstract

Online identity support from similar-others predicted increased community connectedness and well-being in GBM. Interaction tests found that online support from similar-others predicted positive identity and community connection when offline support from similar-others was high. Additionally, online support from similar others predicted increased well-being when offline support from friends was low.
