Viking and Farmer: Intuitive Understanding of Life Histories in Swedish Romantic Poetry

Midwestern undergraduates demonstrated a remarkably accurate understanding of the life history characteristics depicted by characters in early 19th Century Swedish poetry. Participants also demonstrated an intuitive understanding of the relationships between these characteristics and the characters’ developmental environments.
