Abstract
Evidence suggests alcohol and aggravation negatively influence parenting. This study examined whether single-parents’ alcohol consumption was associated with abusive rather than non-violent child disciplinary practices, and whether parenting stress exacerbates this association. Despite no main or interaction effects, the results deepen our understanding of how alcohol and aggravation impact parenting.
