Abstract

In this study we compared several learning techniques and their benefit on the transfer of knowledge. We found that retrieval learning outperformed a re-study condition on a final test a week later. Additionally, we found that participants using retrieval-based concept mapping had a higher retention rate compared to retrieval practice.
