Abstract

Body image ideals contribute to body dissatisfaction and disordered eating. This study examined the influence of body ideals on body dissatisfaction in Latina versus white college age women. Findings indicate that curvy ideals have a more negative impact than thin ideals in Latinas relative the white women.
