Abstract

Construct validity of the Q-sort test of Undergraduate Epistemology and Scientific Thinking (QUEST) instrument was demonstrated as a measurement of intellectual curiosity and scientific epistemology. Convergent and divergent validity was established by positive correlations with measures of curiosity, belief in science, self-efficacy, and a negative correlation with religious commitment.
