Abstract
We sought to test alternative explanations for Suri et al.’s (2017) finding that reappraisal affordances predict emotion regulation choice. We replicated the finding that the scenarios from the original study differ in their reappraisal affordances, but also found that they differ in the appraisals and motives that they elicit.
