Abstract

The present study examined whether dialectical self-beliefs moderate the indirect effect of high betrayal traumas (HBTs) on posttraumatic stress (PTS) via self-compassion. Participants included 747 college students. Results indicated that, after controlling for low betrayal traumas, the indirect effect of HBTs on PTS through self-compassion was moderated by dialectical self-beliefs.
