Abstract
Under circumstances of mate scarcity, we hypothesize that women direct aggression and reputational sabotage specifically towards out-group women. Results show that when mates were scarce, White participants displayed greater levels of aggression and assigned more negative traits to the ethnic minority romantic rival compared to the White romantic rival.
