Early Prediction of Substance Use Problems Among First-Year College Students

Abstract
Risk for first-year students to have problems related to use of alcohol and cannabis was estimated using the Transmissible Liability Index (TLI). The TLI predicted alcohol and cannabis use problems assessed using the Alcohol Use Disorder Identification Test and the Alcohol, Smoking and Substance Involvement Screening Test, respectively.
