Abstract

A principal components analysis of 45 racial colorblindness items found three positively correlated components: equality orientation, color evasion, and rejection of categorization. Simultaneous regression analysis predicting prejudice from the components found that rejection of categorization was negatively related to prejudice, color evasion was positively related, and equality orientation was unrelated.
