Abstract
We examined whether question format (leading, misleading, and forced-choice) influenced children’s accuracy at questions asking them to infer intentions, relative to those asking about facts. Children were less accurate at question content referring to intentions than facts, and misleading questions were the most challenging for children regardless of question content.
