Abstract

Higher-math-anxious parents report spending more time on math homework than their lower-math-anxious counterparts, and experience more stress, conflict, and frustration during the math homework-helping interaction. Lower-math-anxious parents report feeling more confident and closer to their child. When controlling for the parent’s general anxiety, these patterns do not change.
