Abstract

The study investigated the moderating role of attachment style on the relationship between adverse childhood experiences and psychotic symptoms. 225 psychiatric patients completed measures of psychotic symptoms, adverse childhood experiences and attachment style. The results showed that attachment anxiety and avoidance moderated the relationship between adverse childhood experience and psychosis.
