Systematic Violations of Independence in Models of Response Inhibition

Abstract

In 820,440 trials obtained from 614 subjects across 24 conditions in 13 datasets, we show that violations of the race model for response inhibition are widespread and accounting for these violations changes conclusions in the literature. We also move towards creating new computational models that can accommodate these violations.
