While the Visual Analog Mood Scales have been demonstrated to be valid when administered to populations with limited language ability, they have not been studied in a population of adolescents diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder. Results indicate that only the VAMS Confused and Angry scales were valid when measuring mood.
