Abstract

Using longitudinal data from Health and Retirement Study (2008-2014), we examined the associations between parent-child relationship quality, depression, and sleep for older parents. Cross-lagged structural equation models revealed a bidirectional relationship between parent-child relationship quality and sleep and this relationship was explained by parents’ depressive symptoms.
