Abstract

A sample of 200 individuals in same-sex relationships revealed that minority stressors, outness and internalized homophobia, predicted relationship satisfaction. Specifically, lower levels of outness and higher levels of internalized homophobia predicted worse relationship quality. Further, it was found that outness fully mediated the relationship between internalized homophobia and relationship satisfaction.
