I Need Time to Think!: The Impact of Cognitive Load on the Relationship between Egalitarian Negative Associations and Biased Responding

Negative automatic associations with outgroups can stem from associating those groups with oppression. But, how do such implicit oppression associations relate to behavior? We found that varying whether participants had sufficient time to consider the source of their negative automatic associations with Blacks determined whether those associations predicted biased responding.
