Abstract

Parents experiencing homelessness experience high levels of stress that compromise parenting quality, rendering them less effective in protecting their children from developing socio-emotional problems. The transactional relation between parenting stress and child socio-emotional functioning is examined. Parenting stress and child socioemotional functioning exert bidirectional influences over an eight-month timespan.
