Abstract

In Study 1 (N = 509), general intelligence was found to be positively associated with openness towards condom-use. In Study 2 (quasi experimental, N= 211), general intelligence predicted greater likelihood of condom-use in a sexual offer scenario when primed with the threat of the evolutionary novel STI HIV (vs. Gonorrhea).
