Mirror Neuron System Activity in Trait and Induced Social Anxiousness: An EEG Investigation

Mirror neuron system activity in trait and induced social anxiousness (SA) was examined via electroencephalographic recording while participants completed a facing-the-viewer bias task. No differences were found between the experimental and control conditions, but results indicate that the various cognitive components of SA manifest in distinct psychophysiological and behavioral patterns.
