Abstract

Our study examined explored the validity of an adapted version of the Approach-Avoidance Task (AAT), the Exercise-AAT, by assessing the relationship between responsiveness to rewards/punishments (BIS/BAS) and responses on the Exercise-AAT. BAS Fun-Seeking was significantly related to approach motivation for exercise images, providing preliminary evidence for the Exercise-AAT’s validity.
