Abstract

Valence/evaluative integration of social roles was explored as a form of self-concept organization. Study results showed that increased valence integration of five social roles (i.e., an individual’s positive and negative self-attributes being intermingled among the roles roles) was associated with greater resilience and life satisfaction and less depression.
