Abstract

Research has shown that high overprotection and low nurturance is significant in the development of borderline personality traits (BP), but has failed to determine which subtypes of these styles are uniquely associated with BP. In our study, we found responsiveness, autonomy support, and excessive monitoring uniquely associated with BP.
