Going Above and Beyond What Is Expected in Government: Predictors of Federal Employees’ Organizational Citizenship Behaviors

Using relative weights analysis, the top predictors of organizational citizenship behaviors were examined in an employee climate survey among 28 organizational variables in a large, representative national survey with over 687,000 Federal employees. Results showed that employee engagement and role clarity were the top predictors of organizational citizenship behaviors.
