Abstract

Antecedents and consequences of employee engagement in Federal agencies were examined in a representative national survey with 687,687 employees. Results showed that performance feedback, collaborative management, and merit system principles were the top predictors of employee engagement while employee engagement was positively related to job, organizational, and career advancement satisfaction.
