Abstract

Low birth weight children between the ages of 5 and 12 years were assessed for intelligence with Ravens Coloured Progressive Matrices, handedness, hand ability for unimanual and bimanual performance. Results showed lower CRPM percentiles, less lateralization, an absence of equal hand ability and slower bimanual performance compared to normal children.
