Abstract
Online surveys with 106 military couples during a deployment found that high-quality communication between partners, though not its amount, was associated with aspects of well-being (marital satisfaction, perceived stress, days incapacitated by health/mental health problems, and self-rated health), over and above the effects of selected military and family contextual factors.
