Gender Dependent Intranasal Oxytocin Effect on Conformity Related Dishonest Behavior

Abstract

When people are encountered with a flexible environment where supervision is not sufficient, oxytocin enhances subjects’ tendency to make profit-maxing report. The effect of treatment on dishonest report was moderated by the interaction of learning rate towards others’ behavior and condition (competitive vs non-competitive) in female but not male participants.
