Abstract

We tested whether self-report measures and an objective measure of analytic and intuitive thinking styles predicted belief in conspiracy theories in (N=304) college students. We found that the objective measure significantly predicted both false and fictitious conspiracy theory belief. However, neither of the self-report measures significantly predicted conspiracy theory endorsement.
