Abstract

Based on accessibility-attribution theory, this study hypothesized that contextual accessible thought moderates the relationship between emotion and stereotype activation. A 2 (contextual accessible thoughts: counter-stereotypic versus stereotypic) x 2 (emotions: positive versus negative) between-subject experimental design was adopted. Two-way ANOVA revealed a significant crossover interaction, which supported the hypothesis.
