Children Engage in Reading and Math at Home, but What about Science and Writing?

Abstract

This study examined children’s engagement in math, reading, writing, and science at home. We surveyed 189 parents of 1st- 6th graders. Results showed that children’s most enjoyed subject was science and they spent less time engaged in science and writing compared to math and reading at home.
