Abstract
Cognitive flexibility (CF) is a core executive skill, characterized by shifting between concepts. While it is often used as a proxy for fluid intelligence and autism severity, its disparate measurement leads to inconsistent results (i.e., paradox). Two CF components are distilled that can reconcile the inconsistency and improve its assessment.
