Implicit Stigma Towards Autism Spectrum Disorder: Differences between China and Ireland

Abstract

This study examined cross-national differences between China and Ireland in implicit stigma towards autism spectrum disorder (ASD) using an Implicit Association Test. The findings indicated that individuals with ASD in China might be faced with more misunderstanding and negative stigma in social settings as opposed to those in Ireland.
