Abstract

Background stimuli produce context-specificity effects in predictive learning, especially when they disambiguate cue – outcome relationships. We investigated whether auditory context is as effective as visual context in producing these effects. Visual context moderated predictive learning better than auditory context even when both were equally relevant for reducing cue-outcome ambiguity.
