Everybody's Doing It: Academic Dishonesty on Campus

Abstract

This research reports on a new eight-item measure assessing whether students believe that cheating is an acceptable means of achieving academic success as well as the inclusion of student perceptions of cheating among peers. Both measures were found to be better predictors of cheating than the most often-cited neutralization measure.
