Abstract

In today’s technology-driven society, children complete many language arts assignments using digital devices. We surveyed 174 parents of elementary-school-aged children to garner their perspectives. Results showed parents felt conflicted about using technology for reading and writing. Most mentioned positive impacts, however, many were concerned about an over-dependence on technology.
