Cultural Similarities in the Relationship between Acceptance of Violence and Perceptions of Peer Aggression

We examined the relationship between acceptance of violence and perceptions of peer aggression and acceptance of violence in African-American and European-American young adults. There were no differences based on cultural group. In general, young adults perceive themselves as less aggressive and less accepting of violence than their peers.
